After fighting for her life for two days, a 10-year-old Bryan girl has died. The unnamed Neal Elementary fifth grader was taken off life support Wednesday afternoon after being declared brain dead by doctors at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
She suffered severe head injuries Monday night when she and her two-year-old sister were struck by a car as they were crossing Texas Avenue.
The two-year-old received minor injuries but is OK. The driver of the car says she did not see the girls and was not ticketed for any violation.
