A truck driver accused of moonlighting as a marijuana farmer remains in the Robertson County. Richard Langford, 44, was taken into custody during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon in Hearne. His bond has been set at $350,000.
Langford is charged with two drug possession felonies. However Robertson County District Attorney investigators say other charges are pending. Authorities have been looking for Langford since last Friday when more than 1,000 marijuana plants were confiscated on rural property east of Hearne. Investigators estimate the street value of the marijuana at close to $1,000,000. During the seizure, authorities say they also found equipment used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
