At the top of the fairy tale bean pole, Jack found a giant's house. At the top of a Brenham bean poll, Obama or McCain could find the White House.

In a less-than-scientific poll set up at K-Bob's Steakhouse in Brenham, diners are given the opportunity to chose the next commander-in-chief by casting a bean in their candidate's container. While the patriotic polling place doesn't offer a lot of privacy, voters are lining up pitch in their pintos.

So far, John McCain is winning in a legume landslide.
