We now know what started a mobile home fire in Bryan.

Investigators say the fire in a mobile home on Bomber Drive started because of an electrical short in the wiring.
Last night -- a family arrived to see Firefighters hacking through their windows and walls.
When firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after seven, all they could see was smoke.

Once inside, they were able to extinguish the fire in about 10 minutes.
No one was home, and the damage was confined mostly to the living room area.

I truly feel for this family. My mother's house burned the day after Easter, and it is extremely difficult to cope with. Prayers are with the family.

"They say firefighters hacking through windows and walls along with smoke pouring out of their their house." Thanks for your choice of words there. "Hacking". Maybe there is a reason for them to be breaking out the windows, like removing the smoke from the house to help damage and aid in visibility to find the fire.
