How would you like to make $17,000 virtually doing nothing?

NASA is seeking participants for its on-going bed rest study.

You must remain in bed for 90 days to receive the big pay out. Participants are reimbursed for their time and expenses.

The study uses long-term bed rest to simulate the effects of micro-gravity an astronaut would experience during extended space flight, like a trip to Mars. Researchers are working to reduce the effects of space flight on the human body. To accomplish this, researchers study people on Earth, in a way that causes some of the changes the body goes through while traveling in space without gravity. Healthy test subjects are needed from the general population.

These studies will develop ways to keep astronauts healthier and safer when they spend a long time in space without gravity. NASA calls these methods countermeasures and uses them to minimize the changes that occur to the body during space flight and enable the return of normal body functions once back on earth.

as hard as the economy is right now that doesn't sound like a bad idea...doing nothing for 90 days and still getting paid a big chunk of money....not gonna lie it sounds very interesting but I would consult with a dr. before I would so it so they can give me a list of all the possiblities that can and will happen.

Funny John. I know some to who do it for free as well, everyday. I will send them the address at NASA. Nevertheless, I cannot imagine doing this. I would have to spend the money I got from the study on lipo and to treat the bed sores I am sure you would get.
