Cox Communications' Out; Suddenlink's In

Cebridge Communications has completed it's purchase of Cox Communications. The name of the area's new cable provider is known as Suddenlink.

The purchase of Cox, as well as new purchases in West Virginia, will put Suddenlink among the top ten cable providers in the country with 1.4 million customers when it's all said and done.

Service, personnel and prices should not change for customers according to the new owners.

Interestingly, names of the properties of Jerry Kent have normally had names beginning with "c." According to officials with the company say they asked employees to submit names for the new company, and Suddenlink tested well with focus groups.

Still, the holding company is Cequel Communications, maintaining that tradition.
