Two people, one of them a child, have been transported to the College Station Medical Center following a motorcycle and pedestrian accident Wednesday night.
The accident happened in the residential area at 1000 Eleanor Street in front of the Lincoln Center shortly before 9pm. Authorities say the child was walking in the area when he or she was hit by the motorcycle.
Details are sketchy, but it's believed the child, who is about seven-years-old, has a head injury, and the driver of the motorcycle also has serious injuries and cuts to the face.
Shortly after the accident, police had some difficulty with crowd control and are now asking residents of that area to please stay away from the scene.
We will have more details as they become available.
