Myron Douglas Phillips, of Katy, pleaded not guilty Friday morning to killing a Burleson County father and son.

Phillips is charged with two counts of capital murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.

On April 23, officials say Phillips fatally shot David Weichert Senior and D.J. Weichert outside of their home. Phillips then eluded authorities for 12 hours before surrendering peacefully.

The trial is tentatively set for the week of April 21, 2009 in Burleson County. Prosecutors tell News 3 at this time they will be seeking the death penalty.

Seems you know "for a fact" and that you know the "girl lied" and also about the living accomodations. Seems to me only family members would know that "FACT" information. Were you one of the family members trying to get him out of the house in which he took a person hostage? You will probably need a shrink for even having the gall to MAKE EXCUSES for this ignorant guy. People who lie and make excuses constantly will be caught/judged one day. Unbelievable!

Cathy, thanks for your response. You are fun to talk to, it reminds me of the times I spent volunteering at the special olympics. Anyhoo, it seems to me the people defending the murderer all seem to say "you weren't there". Really? Most folks that were there got killed by your buddy myron. Secondly, anyone offended by my my comments (family included) should not read them. Hmmm, thats a novel thought. If you don't want me to post - simply do not respond. Dear Sane, I just read your commets to me. First I see you have lots of fans. No I don't have a murdering pedophile in my family.Second you have the right to your oppion. UNLESS YOU WERE THERE you don't really know how it all unfoled and what lead to this tradgied. And I am sure God spoke to you and told you to call everyone morons and for you to pass your judgement on everyone else's oppion. Dear annymous, why was Myron on probation? What was his court date for? To all morons that think lying and double homicide comitting pedophiles deserve the same punishment get a clue. fyi.. CPS did not take the kids away. The dad & jen did not bring them back and this is why they did not bring them back. jen wanted to move out of the shack (her words not mine) they were living in is why all the lies were made up. With him paying child support on 3 kids he could not afford to get his own place or jen a place. I guess money was the motive. I hope EVERYONE pays for the loss of these 2 men

How do you know who God talks to? I chat with him every day. Why would God kill me? He never said anything about killing me. NO, All I was saying is, If I would have been Jenn, I know that I would have woke him up and told him what was going on outside and not sent him to his death, or I would have pick the gun up myself. I know that most of you are mad, and you have every right to your opinion. But can we please not give any more attention to this monster or his family. He probably likes the fact that people keep talking about him.( hence the letter he wrote to the reporter a while back). He just wants attention and for people to pity him. Let his family deal with him as I think they will tire of him also, seeing all the hurt he has already put them through in the past. I think we should all just write him off, let him face his peers. As much as we would all like to see justice done swiftly, we all know it will be years, maybe even decades, before he saw a needle. Lets stop making him out to be important and worth our time...HES NOT! Let him rot.

He obviously premeditated it driving that long of a distance from Katy. There really needs to be no trial whatsoever because he did it and then wouldn't come out of a house until he spoke with family, the cops should have just taken care of business and saved us all tax money. Those who are responsible will have their day if the investigation goes the way it's heading now. Sometimes these things take a while but don't think for one minute they don't have all the facts. Burleson County DA, God be with you and your invistgators. Just a side thought, If Jenn had told my uncle Doug had a gun outside, this would have, at the least, been a fair fight! Now the only reason he is pleading not guilty, is to keep himself from the death penalty. He needs to face the facts himself, not let a jury face it for him. I mean, how ignorant can someone be. He shoots two people and ran from all of these law enforcement agencies for over an hour, now he wants to plead "not guilty". I dont know what to think about someone with that kind of mentality.
