It could be another month before Queen Walker knows her punishment. The former Brazos County employee was found guilty Thursday of stealing thousands of dollars from the Brazos County District Attorney's office.

361st District Judge Steve Smith has requested a Pre-Sentence Investigation into Walker's background.

The Brazos County probation office conducts the PSI to see if Walker has had any previous charges or convictions.

The process can take up to 45 days.

Judge Smith will then set Walker's punishment. Walker could face up to 10 years in prison for misappropriation of fiduciary property.
The amount Walker was convicted of stealing made it a third degree felony.
