For the second time in six months, a Brenham man is behind bars accused of soliciting a minor over the Internet. 27- year- old John David Payne was arrested Wednesday in his Brenham home.

The Texas Attorney General's cyber crime unit had been investigating Payne. He's charged with online solicitation of a minor.

Payne was also arrested in December and charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child. Authorities say he went to Bastrop with the intention of having sex with a minor, but was greeted by an under cover cop instead. He was indicted by a Washington County grand jury in March. A trial date is pending for that case.

Payne remains in Washington County's Jail with bond set at $1 million bond.
