Law enforcement officers remembered those who lost their lives in the line of duty at a ceremony Wednesday.
A memorial service was held at College Station's Police Department. Law enforcement officers, family, and friends gathered to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their communities. The ceremony included inspiration speeches, a memorial wreath, and silver taps.
It gives an entire community, law enforcement in particular, the opportunity to honor those 153 officers nation wide that were killed in the line of duty in 2005. We're honored to host it," said College Station Police Chief, Michael Clancey.
This is the 19th year the memorial service has been held.
