A day after being convicted of murder, an unemployed Montgomery man has learned his fate.
Brent Noland was sentenced Wednesday to 55 years in prison after the Grimes County jury deliberated much of the afternoon.
The 20-year-old was found guilty Tuesday for fatally stabbing US Navy serviceman Brandon Smith in 2004 following a confrontation in the parking lot.
Noland must serve 27-and-a-half years before he's eligible for parole.
