Once again, the United Way Youth Leadership Cabinet has made a nice chunk of change for local agencies.
Thursday afternoon, the 17 high school students presented $12,000 worth of checks to 13 area organizations.
The goal of the youth cabinet is to put on fundraisers and raise community awareness about United Way.
Groups receiving the money were 2-1-1 Texas, Boys and Girls Club, Brazos Food Bank, Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center, Community of Promise/Project Unity, Family Outreach of B/CS, MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley, Ready to Lead in Literacy, Scotty's House, The Prenatal Clinic, Twin City Mission, Voices for Children, and Success by Six/Born Learning.
