A former Texas A&M student who killed two local women after driving drunk is up for parole.
Kyle Johnson became an example of the consequences of drinking and driving after being sentenced to do a Public Service Announcement and serve 12 years in prison.
Johnson's Blood Alcohol Level was two-and-a-half times the legal limit when he killed Brittany Young, 20, and Hollie Winn, 21, in 2002.
On Friday, Hollie's family asked the parole board to deny Johnson parole.
While earlier this week, the Young family recommended his release, saying that his being in prison, doesn't bring Brittany back.
Johnson has served more than two-and-a-half years of his 12 year sentence.
The Gatesville Parole Board is expected to make a decision in the next 10 days.
