What started as a relatively small brush fire grew larger this afternoon in Grimes County.
The fire on County Road 215 started around 2 p.m.
Firefighters requested assistance from the Texas Forest Service, but a bulldozer out of Conroe was delayed in getting to the scene.
In less than two hours, the fire was up to 20 acres.
No word on what caused the fire. No injuries were reported.
Authorities say the landowner that started burning the brush will be ticketed because the fire spread to other property.
