A Brenham man is being held in the Washington County jail on child pornography charges.
Michael Patrick Sutherland, 39, was arrested Friday by the Attorney General's cyber task force.
After police searched his home computer, Sutherland was charged with one count of unlawful possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, police seized various computer components from Sutherland's home, including a computer, CD's, floppy discs, video tapes and a camera-equipped cell phone.
Sutherland became a suspect after police received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an image of child pornography that had been uploaded to an e-mail address traced to Sutherland, according to court documents.
The same task force arrested John David Payne of Brenham in May for allegedly trying to solicit sex from a 13-year-old girl.
It was Payne's second arrest on a similar charge.
