The city of Navasota has a new mayor. Bert Miller was chosen to take on the role at Monday evening's city council meeting.
Miller is a local insurance agent who has spent the last year on the council. He takes over for Pat Gruner, who had served as mayor for half-a-decade.
Navasota's charter put the choice of mayor in the hands of the city council. Monday evening's vote was unanimous.
