Bryan fire officials say they'll never know the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in the Briarcrest West subdivision. They say the damage was so significant they can't determine why it started.
The fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom Sunday night in the house in the 3100 block of Broadmoor.
There they found smoke pouring from the home, with flames visible in the upstairs of the house.
Initially, only Bryan firefighters responded, but later a call was made for assistance from College Station.
Fire crews were on scene for several hours, but the home was a total loss.
No one was in the house at the time, but one firefighter did suffer minor ankle injuries.
