The owner of six pit-bull dogs that killed a Thorndale woman, will have to stand trial. In a hearing Thursday morning Jose Hernandez asked the court to throw out his criminally negligent homicide indictment, but the court said no.
Hernandez's Jury trial is now set for this summer.
Back in November, 76-year-old Lillian Stiles was mauled by the pack of dogs in her front yard. Thursday, Stiles husband Jack says the family is thrilled with the judges ruling. He says Lillian's family will be at the July 25 hearing.
Meanwhile House bill 108, which toughens criminal penalties against owners of dogs that kill, will go before State Legislators for consideration this January.
