One man is dead after an early morning motorcycle race ended in a crash at the finish line.
According to Department of Public Safety officials, the two bike race reached high speeds as the drivers raced to a finish line near the intersection of Jones and Leonard roads Tuesday.
Apparently a Ford truck parked in the road was the end point. But one motorcycle didn't stop at the end, and crashed into that truck.
Twenty-four-year-old William Waters died at the scene.
The second rider was treated and released. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
