Houston police have arrested a 15-year-old girl as the suspect in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old boy in a normally bustling Houston park.
Authorities say the victim was attacked by about two dozen gang members with baseball bats, golf clubs and tire irons in broad daylight at Ervan Chew Park. Police say the girl stabbed the boy to death.
Captain Dwayne Ready says Gabriel Granillo and two other boys, one a known gang member and another with gang affiliations, were at the park.
Neighbors and police say the attackers arrived in several cars and descended on Granillo from both sides of the park.
The attackers drove off after what police believe was a planned attack.
