Brazos Animal Shelter employees and enthusiasts have made their feelings known once again.
At the city council meeting Thursday evening, nine citizens spoke on the issue, with the vast majority calling for a change in the way the board of directors is made up.
Currently, only the county judge and two city managers sit on the board, but speakers tonight called for concerned citizens, animal experts and even employees of the shelter to be on the board. They said the current board does not have the shelter's best interests at heart.
Judge Randy Sims has said that the current board is considering expanding itself to include new members.
