The owner of Bryan-College Station's FOX affiliated TV station has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Communications Corporation of America, also known at ComCorp, owns KYLE in Bryan-College Station and KWKT in Waco, along with ten other stations in Louisiana, Texas and Indiana.
ComCorp filed for chapter 11 Wednesday citing "an inability to reach a workable restructuring agreement."
Court filings estimated the company's debts at more than $100 million.
ComCorp CFO Steve Pruett said, "This filing will not affect the day to day operations of the company's television stations which will continue to operate in the normal course of business during the reorganization."
