Hot, dry conditions make good fuel for wildfires.
And that's what kept firefighters in Burleson County busy Saturday.
Firefighters from Cade Lakes and Caldwell fought a multi-acre pasture fire.
Crews were called about 2:30 a.m. to an area off Sugar Hill Road.
In all, it took about an hour-and-a-half to get the fire out.
But what started it is still not known.
It's been about a week-and-a-half since any measureable rain fell in the area.
But no burn bans are in effect in any Brazos Valley counties.
