A Bryan man convicted of armed robbery has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Stephen Gilbert, 32, was sentenced Tuesday after a Brazos County jury found him guilty last week of aggravated robbery in the holdup of a
Bryan mexican food restaurant.
Gilbert was one of two involved in the heist and subsequent shootout at the Taqueria Arandas in December 2004.
His accomplice and cousin, Michael Hall, 19, was shot and killed by police after threatening a hostage.
Gilbert will have to serve half of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
