In anticipation of Fourth of July, Washington County Commissioners have restricted most fireworks. The ban was put in place Tuesday morning, because of dry conditions. The ban covers missiles with fins and sky rockets with sticks.
Brazos County has until tomorrow to make a decision regarding a fireworks ban.
By state statute, June 15th is the deadline to decide on a fireworks ban, allowing enough time for fireworks companies to buy or not buy usually restricted fireworks.
Brazos County Commissioners will meet Thursday morning at 9.
