One of the community's most prestigious private schools has a new leader.

At an Thursday ceremony, St. Michael's Episcopal School introduced Dr. Betty Creamer as its Head of School.

Creamer comes to St. Michael's with more than 30 years of experience in education including K-12 schools, college, university and seminary faculty positions.

She also has extensive youth ministry work in the Episcopal Church with overseas assignments in South Korea and Japan.

Ms. Anonymus must confuse Saint Michael's with Allen Academy. There is no drug problem at SMA, and the school is certainly not made up of rich kids. Anonymus is really misinformed. SMA is a wonderful school with dedicated educators and energetic parents. It's the only school in the area with a core foreign language program and it is a college prep school with service oriented kids.

Hopefully she can manage the drug problem among the students. The school is made up of rich kids whose parents and educators turn a blind eye to the issues.
