A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Montgomery, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties until 7am SUNDAY. 1" to 3" of rain, with localized totals between 5" & 7" will be possible as a slow moving, weak cold front arrives through early Sunday.
If you cruise down University Drive this week, don't be alarmed if you see flames shooting out of the ground.
Starting Monday, Atmos Energy will be conducting routine pipeline inspection at University and Spring Loop in College Station.
Part of the work involves what's-known-as "flaring," which burns off excess gas from the lines. The flares don't last long, but they will be visible.
Atmos Pipeline Texas is a division of Atmos Energy.
