The former battalion chief of the Bryan Fire department is under indictment by a San Antonio grand jury.
Grand jurors handed up an indictment against Nick Pappas last week.
The twenty-five year veteran of the fire department was arrested in November and charged with online solicitation of a minor for sex.
Police say Pappas set up a meeting in San Antonio with who he thought was a 13 year old girl he'd met over the internet.
It turned out to be a police detective.
The district attorney in San Antonio said Pappas was also indicted on other charges, yet it's unclear what those are.
Pappas was placed on paid administrative leave from the department after his arrest and was allowed to retire a short time later.
Pappas was also a longtime member of Texas Task Force 1.
