The US military isn't confirming whether two bodies found today in Iraq are those of two missing American soldiers.
A spokesman for the 2nd Brigade of the 101st Airborne -- the same brigade the missing soldiers belong to -- will say only that two bodies have been found and officials are in the process of identifying them.
A senior Iraqi military official says the bodies are those of Privates Kristian Menchaca of Texas and Thomas Tucker of Oregon. They were found on a street near the town where they disappeared Friday after an attack that killed another American.
Menchaca's uncle tells NBC's 'Today" show: "The news is going to be heartbreaking for my family."
