One of Sam Houston State's favorite professors has died.
Robert Case was a professor of health and kinesiology at the university since 1983. He headed up that department for a few years of his tenure, and was also the school's athletic director in the early 1990s.
Case died at his home last night. He was 65 years old. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 4pm at the First Baptist Church of Huntsville.
Before his stint at Sam Houston, Case taught and coached baseball at Palm Beach Junior College. He also worked at the University of Illinois, Wake Forest University, Georgetown College and Marshall University.
