A 23-year-old soldier from Montgomery County has been killed in action in Iraq.
Sergeant Reyes Ramirez of Willis died Saturday in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device went off near his vehicle, according to the Defense Department.
A graduate of Willis High School, Ramirez was assigned to the 40th Engineer Battalion in Baumholder, Germany.
Ramirez was on his second tour of duty in Iraq.
