Snook's school board has named a sole finalist for superintendent. Larry Williams was selected for the position Tuesday night.

Williams has 18 years of experience in education and is currently the principal at Angleton High School. The board will officially hire Williams and work out a contract after a state required 21 day waiting period.

Williams says he's looking forward to moving to the Brazos Valley and working in Snook's school district.

Former superintendent Jim Copeland will leave at the end of the month for his new job in Fleming Colorado.
