Hundreds of people showed up at a protest rally and candlelight vigil in Huntsville. The family of Courtney O'Bryant, 25, spoke out at the rally claiming his civil rights had been violated.
O'Bryant died a week ago during a traffic stop. Authorities say O'Bryant started swallowing cocaine after being pulled over, and believe that may be the cause of death.
The family is claiming deputies used excessive force and say they want justice.
The arrest was captured by the dash board camera and Sheriff Clint McRae says his men followed procedure. Autopsy results have not been released.
