Thursday's College Station school board meeting will likely signal the end of Jimmy's Creel's tenure as superintendent.
As News 3 first reported Monday, Creel and the school district have agreed to an exit deal, one which could be finalized at Thursday's 6pm meeting. A month ago, Creel was placed on administrative leave after a job evaluation. He has been on the job less than a year.
Some board members have cited leadership issues with Creel as the reason for the recent meetings. This will mark the fourth time the school board will go into executive session concerning Creel and the superintendent's position, including three special meetings.
Eddie Coulson, the district's deputy superintendent, was named acting superintendent at a previous board meeting.
Creel came on board at CSISD last September, replacing long-time superintendent Steve Johnson.
