Discussions are underway between the Brazos Animal Shelter's board and its executive director.
Attorneys for Kelley Durham and the three member board won't say what they're discussing. However, Durham and the board haven't seen eye-to-eye in recent months.
Durham's job was under review during a closed door meeting on Wednesday, yet no action was taken.
Shelter employees held a press conference demanding changes to the board earlier this month. Days later, the board's current members decided to remove themselves from the board, then chose 15 people to make up a new board. County Judge and current board member Randy Sims said their decision was not based in any way on the employees' statements.
Durham says she has not submitted her resignation, yet referred all other inquiries about her employment to her attorney.
Sims says there's been no change and will only confirm attorneys for the board and Durham are in talks.
