A Madison County shooting suspect is still not talking. But his past could soon be speaking volumes.
The unidentified man was shot by authorities following a high speed chase.
Since his capture, he's refused to disclose his name. But investigators said Tuesday they are almost certain he is a former Texas prison inmate.
They believe this could lead to his identification as early as Wednesday.
The anonymous suspect remains hospitalized at St. Joseph Health Center in Bryan where he's under armed guard. He is accused of robbing a woman in Buffalo on Sunday, then fleeing in a stolen car.
The chase ended later that day in Madison County where he was shot by a sheriff's deputy after allegedly pointing a gun at officers.
