Thursday could be the last day on air for Bob and Michelle! MDA has found out about their big hearts and is putting them behind bars. They need your help to get out of jail!
The Muscular Dystrophy Association's 2006 Lock-up is on July 13. If Bob and Michelle don't raise enough money by Thursday, they'll be put in the slammer until they can call in enough pledges. Bond is set at $1,950, which is the cost of 30 minutes of muscular dystrophy research. But, there is no limit to how much they can raise! All of the bail money collected will go to people in the Brazos Valley diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association provides clinics, support groups for people in our community. Anyone diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease can apply for help with with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and a special camp for "Jerry's Kids" each summer. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages.
