A College Station woman was jailed after police say she attempted to stab her husband. Twenty-four-year-old Fatimah Hankins was arrested by College Station police and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Tuesday afternoon police responded a report of a civil disturbance at the 1600 block of George Bush Drive. Hankins' husband, Lawrence Sylvan, told police he and his wife got into a heated argument and Hankins tried to stab him with a kitchen knife.
He says he attempted to take the knife away and sustained cuts to his hands, but refused treatment when paramedics arrived.
Bond for Hankins was set at $10,000.
