Two 18-year-olds from Sugar Land accused of murdering a classmate are in custody today after trying to cross into Canada.
Fort Bend County Sheriff Milton Wright says Sean Brown and Matthew McCombs were caught yesterday in Port Huron, Michigan.
They were earlier charged in the death of 16-year-old Ashton Glover. Their names had been entered into a national crime database.
Both face extradition.
Construction workers on Monday discovered Glover's body in a field west of Missouri City.
Glover's family reported her missing Saturday. She was last seen getting into a pickup in Sugar Land.
An autopsy shows Glover died from blunt force trauma.
Wright says officers searched the homes of the suspects and confiscated items including shovels, computers and a bloodstained shirt belonging to Brown.
A motive for the killing is sought.
