Crews today worked to contain a wildfire near Abilene that's scorched at least 500 acres.
Officials say the blaze -- which started yesterday afternoon -- is a threat to about 50 large wind turbines.
Texas Forest Service spokeswoman Traci Weaver says windy and dry conditions quickly spread the fire.
Investigators haven't determined what caused the fire, which began about 15 miles southwest of Abilene.
Authorities say the fire has burned a small hunting cabin.
