The Attorney General's office has nabbed another alleged promoter of child pornography.
Michael Ray Peterson-Lisembee of Magnolia was arrested Tuesday on two counts of promotion and 12 counts of possession of child pornography. The 22-year-old was an enlisted in the Army and going through basic training at Fort Benning when his home computer was searched and found to have hundreds of explicit images of children. It is believed the Peterson-Lisembee e-mailed those pictures to others.
The promotion and possession charges are felonies with punishments of up to 20 and 10 years in prison respectively.
Attorney General Greg Abbott's prosecutors will be handling Peterson-Lisembee's case. His cyber crimes unit has made nearly 500 arrests since the end of 2002.
