A Bryan man police have come to recognize is back in custody.
According to police, Erric Portis was spotted Thursday along Martin Luther King Drive on two separate occasions handling a small item. The second time, the 20-year-old saw police and threw the item, which was 2.1 grams of crack cocaine rocks. Portis was tracked down a short time later.
According to police, the amount Portis is believed to have been carrying is consistent with what a dealer would have.
Among other things, he faces a felony charge of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. Bryan authorities say he has numerous drug arrests in the past.
