Police say two 12-year-old boys were killed when the truck one of them was driving hit a tree.

Police believe the driver of the truck, Justin Dieckman, sneaked out of his parents' house in Spring and picked up four friends for a ride. That's when the crash occurred early yesterday morning.

Also killed in the wreck was Jonathan Gwin, who was sitting in the front seat of the extended-cab truck with Justin. Police say both died at the scene.

A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured, and two other children were treated at the scene.

Lieutenant David Blankenship of the Harris County Constable's office says officers believe all the children were wearing seatbelts.

He said officers were still investigating the cause of the wreck, including the truck's speed. The truck took down two pine trees and knocked the oak to its side.
