A Bryan man is in jail after police say he was shot in the arm by someone he was trying to rob.

College Station police say, Wednesday night, five people were in a home on the 3500 block of Wild Plum when three suspected armed robbers broke inside the home.

Officers say those suspects ordered the people in the house on the floor and took their personal property.

According to witnesses the suspects left the scene.

Officers say that's when the victims locked the door.

Police say the suspects returned and busted into the home.

Officers say two people were hiding in the bedroom and when one of the suspects fired a gun, one of the victims returned fire hitting one suspect in the arm.

That suspect, 20-year-old Cardell Anthony Jackson was arrested after a 911 call was made about his gun shot wound and he was treated at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

He's charged with nine counts of aggravated robbery and one count of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony.

Your forgetten, we should be thankful that, the kids that lived there weren't killed. And especially the kids that had nothing to do with any of it. It's sad but there are bad people everywhere. We should appreciate life each day & respect each other. I think the CSPD has done a great job. They have the suspects in custody. Back your community & CSPD. Maybe we wouldn't have as much crime.

Did the cops investigate the victims? was there a bullet found shot by the suspect?who goes back a second time to rob someone? the truth is not being told by the victims, more to the story? oh yeah!!!! but i guess it's valid because they are white and in a white town the blacks will always be in the wrong even when the whites are too, they will only point out the wrong the blacks did.this is 2008 people find out the truth and then speak on it.In the eyes of the law(white)you are innocent until proven guilty, but when you are black you are guilty until proven innocent. AGAIN PEOPLE THIS IS 2008 TIME FOR CHANGE

My husband made sure that I loaded 2 guns before he left for his hunting trip this weekend. I have a big gun and a little gun. Anyone breaking in will meet both of them. :)

Just love all the "Anonymous" Bryan bashing cowards. A poll recently found that the majority of shoppers in Super Wal Mart in BRYAN are from College Station..hmmmm, will you please stay out of city. Aren't you AFRAID or are your comments just made out of stupidity? I'm thinking the latter.

I only know this much because I have checked the story out. Read the arrest report. Read the news story as prented by a non-biased reporting agency. Then come back and we will have an inteligent logical discussion about possible ways to stem the crime rate in all of Brazos valley.

TO: David is this research you did on your own or are you involved in this crime? you seem to know way to much buddy. CSPD should check this dude out.

KBTX failed to report the whole story!!! The 'residents' were drug dealers. The robbers stole $1200 bucks and 2 pounds of pot. So now C.S. residents are allowed to deal drugs and fire wildly into neighbourhoods to protect these drugs????? This is rediculous! Sounds to me like the whole lot of them should go to jail. I bet that CSPD didn't even search the house after the residents admitted that the robbers took their drugs. I am sure they would have at least found parephenalia. So Bryan criminals attacked C.S. criminals and the C.S. criminals put law abiding citizens at risk but using a firearm in a neighbourhood. Huhm. Lock em all up.

So sad that you live in so much fear. I travel all around the Brazos Valley and never fear the unknown. I am however careful of my surroundings whether I am in Bryan, CS, Caldwell,etc... I look around before I leave or approach my car. I keep my purse close to me; walk with confidence and make eye contact of those around me. I am very alert to what people are wearing and vehicles they drive. I don't go to high crime area in the dark and I make sure my vehicle is kept in good condition. People get attacked at Wal-mart in CS, in the church parking lots, everywhere. Don't be afraid - just be prepared at all times. It has nothing to do with this area - is just the times we live in where there are some who have no respect for others and their properties.

We need a wall for protection from Bryan thugs. This is why my family will no go into Bryan. Even the TV station is attacked.

Posted by: Anonymous on Nov 7, 2008 at 01:50 PM
I am sure these people are normal Bryan citizens.

Posted by: Anonymous on Nov 7, 2008 at 01:49 PM
Sounds like a gang-related incident to me.

you're are missing on having great people in your life if you're allowing only college station residents into your life. i have lived in cs and now live in bryan and have never had a problem. my neighbors are amazing and so is everyone that i meet here. maybe you should come down from your high horse and meet some of the bryan residents you so highly discriminate against.

Next thing we know, he will sue his victim and get $$ for pain and suffering. This piece of trash will be back on the streets in no time.

Posted by: gs Location: college station on Nov 7, 2008 at 03:12 AM
Since all the CSPD are in the A&M/Northgate area ticketing the jaywalkers, I guess we the citizens are left to protect ouselves and shouldn't count on CSPD to be patrolling our neighborhoods. . Glad I own 2 guns!!

you say blacks are horrible at robbing people? robbers come in all races. you must be white trash. intelligent white people don't think like this. stereotyping. thats' like saying white people are horrible about killing their whole families if they lose their home, or job. you are a disgrace to the white race. find the nearest trash can and go to bed.

HA HA HA HA! I just love a happy ending! Too bad this piece of garbage survived. Hopefully, the next time he robs a person he will get shot in a vital organ.

I love it when bad guys get what is coming to them.

Posted by: Anonymous on Nov 6, 2008 at 03:07 PM
Awwwwwwww poor wittle wobber, did you get shot robbing and threating someone's family or property? All the other robbers and would be robbers might want to take note that most Texans are armed and not afraid to protect their families and property. Also, you might want to pick out a casket before you go out on your next crime spree.

I wont even bring bryan residents over to my house anymore because they may be scoping it out for a home invasion. I just don't feel safe around people from bryan i do not say that to be cruel it is just the truth.

Posted by: Cynthia Location: Bryan on Nov 6, 2008 at 10:07 AM
It's obvious there's a whole lot more to this story than we're getting. But, if a homeowner was defending thier property then more power to them!

Posted by: DJ Location: College Station on Nov 6, 2008 at 08:36 AM
This is the second report of a homeowner taking action against a robber this week (the other one in Dallas). I believe people are getting sick of this behavior - more power to them. I will do the same if an intruder enters my home, maybe thugs will start getting the message.

This doesn't sound like a believable story! Why so many suspects ? Why did they return ? Where were the police ? How did the victims know they were going to return? Something more is going on here. What do you think? drugs maybe?
