A jailhouse brawl has landed a Brazos County inmate in more hot water.

Donald Howard is accused of stabbing another prisoner several times. According to witnesses, Howard became angry when the other inmate repeatedly asked for a sheet of paper. Authorities say Howard was in possession of a piece of sharpened metal he used during the attack. He later tried to flush the object down a toilet.

The 47-year-old Bryan resident has been in Brazos County's jail 35 times since 1988, and has spent almost a year there during his latest stint on burglary charges.

As a result of this altercation, Howard faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possessing a deadly weapon in a penal institution, and tampering with physical evidence.
