A bonfire injury case has been dismissed in court. Zachry Construction filed the motion to dismiss claims made by Nancy Braus and Dixie Comstock, mothers of two Aggies injured in the bonfire collapse.
District Judge Steve Smith says according to Supreme Court statute parents of injured children do not have a claim for loss of consortium and said he had no choice but to dismiss the case. They can appeal and Braus says she will. Braus faces penalties if she files again.
A case scheduled for court today between Dominic and Nancy Braus and Matthew Robins, another of the injured, vs. Ray Bowen, Texas A&M's former president, was settled outside of court yesterday.
