Madison County restaurants may soon be cleaning up their act.
County commissioners have agreed to hire a health inspector. County employee Keith Sanders will take on the responsibility.
He currently serves as the maintenance supervisor. Sanders will start training for the job next month. In the past, Madison County has relied on free inspection provided once a year by the state of Texas.
