It's a group that first gained attention last month with an Anti-Obama carnival, now the Young Conservatives of Texas is stirring the political pot once again.
The group is now taking aim at A&M professors that they claim support a radical leader with a violent past.
Anti-war activist, Bill Ayers has gained national recognition over the years. More recently during the presidential election, and now on paper at Texas A&M.
"We found about eight Texas A&M University professors who had signed this petition," Tony Listi said. "I would find it surprising that even one person would want to sign this."
The petition Tony Listi is referring to, is the one found at supportbillayers.org.
The site claims Ayers is a victim of character assassination, and asks educators to sign up, and stand up against those sort of attacks.
Amongst the thousands of endorsement signatures, there are several from A&M.
"William Ayers was the leader of the Weather Underground group in the 1970's. He and his group bombed the New York City police headquarters, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Capital," Listi said. "The most striking thing is he is not sorry for these attacks, he has no regrets."
I have been quoted again, and again as saying I don't regret it, and we didn't do enough, and quite frankly I don't think we did enough.
Video from a Good Morning America interview with Ayers is now posted on the Young Conservatives website, and four prominent A&M professors who signed the support bill, now have their pictures posted on flyers around campus.
"These professors have all endorsed a person who is very Anti-America it seems," A&M Student Russell Stockman said. "I don't agree with that."
"It seems like to me this sort of black listing has no place in higher education, and that it is really counter productive to academic freedom, and letting people say what they want," A&M Student Tim Alysworth said.
But Tony Listi who's been posting the flyers says the group's intention is to get the community to ask more questions.
"Contact them to find out why they're supporting a person like William Ayers," Listi said.
News 3 tried to contact all of the professors portrayed on this flyer, but were unable to reach three out of four of them.
The one professor we did talk to earlier today, preferred not to comment on the issue.
But a member with the Young Conservatives of Texas group says he has received an email from one of the professors who describes Ayers as "a very close personal friend", and a well respected academic leader.
A University spokesman for Texas A&M released the following statement Wednesday.
"This statement of endorsement is from faculty members representing their own personal views. The faculty members are not speaking on behalf of Texas A&M University or representing the University in an official capacity. In solicitations of support such as this, in which university affiliations are collected, we advise faculty members to consider how this information will be used and portrayed before agreeing to participate. However, it is not our place to censor faculty who have a right to express their own personal viewpoints."

Thank God for the YCT group. It's such a shame that University professors would endorse an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers. I'm so glad these students care enough to engage the community in a political debate.
What makes Bill Ayers and the Weathermen different from Timothy McVeigh? McVeigh succeeded in murdering hundreds of innocent people, while the Weathermen only managed to blow themselves up. Guess which one has the ear of the President-Elect? Guess which one is the object of adulation from some members of the A&M faculty?
My 10 yo grandson has shown the potential to become an excellent engineer. His mother graduated for UT so of course he favors that university. Grandpa has been gradually steering him to consider TAMU because of the excellence in the engineering schools. The YCT group reflects the worst of A&M and I would never want my grandson to go to such a hated-filled, intolerant university. I know I am painting with a broad brush but the group disgusts me. I still like the idea of a posting in the past that every potential recruit for aggie atheletics should view some video of the YCT egg throwing debacle. You have become a second rate football university because good (and decent) recruits will stop coming to a&m as these stories about YCT fill the airwaves.
