A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for Milam and Robertson counties until 5:15pm. A TORNADO WATCH has been issued for Milam and Robertson Counties until 6pm. and Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties. until 10pm. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Milam, Robertson, Leon Counties until 9pm Monday, for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery,San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties until 12am Tuesday, and for Lee county until 1am Tuesday. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for Lee county until 6:15pm, and Milam and Robertson counties until 7:30pm. An additional widespread 1" to 3" rain accumulations are possible through the evening, with locally higher amounts possible.
Four more Brazos County locations have been found to have West Nile.
Earlier this summer, a bird found in the 4400 block of FM 1179 in Bryan tested positive for the virus. Now, a batch of mosquitoes collected there have tested positive as well.
Three more spots in College Station are now on the West Nile list. They are the 3000 block of Bolero, the 800 block of Montclair Avenue and the 300 block of Preston Street.
The health department wants residents to remember that although these new locations were found to have West Nile, all of Brazos County is positive for the virus.
